The following information is for referring doctors and includes link to the SRRS appointment form, organising referrals, the lung function tests provided and how referring doctors can receive lung function test reports.

Patient Appointments

To organise a lung function test for your patient please download, print and fill out the provided SRRS appointment form.

Please note that this appointment form is for lung function tests only. If you would like your patient to have a consultation with an SRRS physician, please indicate in the space provided on the appointment form and include a referral letter. Without a referral letter an SRRS physician will not directly consult with the patient.

Tests Provided

SRRS provides the following lung function tests* using the state of the art Ascencia equipment.

• Spirometry Test
• Diffusing Capacity Test
• Bronchial Provocation Challenge Test (requires discussion with an SRRS physician or practice manager before being available)
• Maximal Inspiratory & Expiratory Muscle Pressures
• Oxygen Saturation monitoring

* The Frankston Laboratory provides Spirometry and Diffusing Capacity Tests only.

Receiving Reports

Reports are usually produced within 24 to 48 hours of the appointment. On the appointment form please indicate how you would like to receive the results:

*Please note that results will only be emailed to you if you provide your ARGUS Connect email address (http://www.argusconnect.com.au/). Reports will not be sent to non-secure email addresses.
